She specializes in fine garment sewing and created lovely gowns for Miss America contestants as well as many
wedding gowns and custom wardrobes. She created Sew Fresh Studio that opened in January 2006. She enjoys
making elegant formal wear, consulting for new clothing entrepreneurs, designing for commercial clothing companies,
and teaching all levels of garment sewing. You can see Nora in her off hours hiking, enjoying movies and yoga.

Judy Drake
Judy specializes in customizing bridal and formal wear at Sew Fresh Studio. She has been with us since our inception and has become the go to person for creative designing to give you a custom look and fit. She has been know to design up to 24 bustles on an individual wedding gown. The gown was transformed into 2 distinct gowns one for the wedding and one for the reception. Her graceful presence and expertise is respected and appreciated.  Judy has a degree in business from CU and also uses her skills to organize and schedule our production schedule. Judy enjoys playing tennis and gardening.
Karen Stalgren
Karen has sewn since she was 7, and has loved it since. Most of Karen’s life she worked as an occupational therapist
teaching life skills and crafts to her clients. She now shares her soft spoken, very supportive manner with our students
to encourage them to “sew outside the box”. She teaches our embellishment, bog coat, quilting, and embroidery and
serger classes. Since 1993 Karen has been teaching how to make sewing enjoyable, easy and fun.
Lenore Kerber
Lenore got her first sewing machine at age 3 and started immediately teaching herself how to create new fashions for
her dolls eventually for herself and family and friends. After having working for 20 years as an engineer, she decided
she was done and started sewing again, but this time for clients. She now is the resident costumer for a local children’s
theater, specializes in vintage redesign, alterations and custom sewing, and teaches kids and pre-teens how to sew and
have fun while doing it. LeNore finds the kids and pre-teen age groups challenging and engaging and at the same time
incredibly creative and fun
Dena Cacioppo
Dena has both interior and fashion design degrees. She specializes in space planning and teaching quilting, beginning
sewing and project classes for Sew Fresh Studio. Living in two locations she travels between her Nebraska home and
home decor business and Boulder. In August of 2012 she was the lead designer to redesign and space plan our new
redesigned studio. Her wide range of knowledge lends creativity and problem solving to her classes.
Lauren Jones
Lauren inherited her interest in sewing from her mother who got her started at an early age. Since then she has
bounced around the various aspects of the industry including doing costume work for Trinity College theater, retail
fabric sales and wholesale buying experience, the sample room of Diane von Furstenberg as a business owner of a
prototyping firm, and as the lead designer for a women’s apparel line. When she is not elbows deep in her current
project of her wedding gown, she can be found romping with her dogs and marveling at the beauty of Colorado.
